Gillian graduated with a B.Ed. Hons. degree (Batchelor of Education) from Moray House School of Education in 1996. Following a brief spell of teaching as a reading recovery and supply teacher, Gillian launched Whizzkids, realising that, as technology became a bigger part of our lives, learning how to get the most out of computers would be beneficial to both children and adults.
Over the years, Gillian has welcomed many children and adults of all ages and abilities, who find that the small group children’s lessons and one-to-one adult tuition provide an excellent learning environment to gain and develop useful, lifelong computer skills.
Children aged 5 and up attend classes for an hour a week and are introduced to touch-typing and various computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, multimedia presentations, computer art, coding and desktop publishing.
Adult lessons are available for complete beginners or those wishing to improve their skills. The content of all lessons is customized to meet your needs.
Whizzkids offers a variety of fun and educational computer courses during the school holidays. The next set of courses will run during the summer holidays from the w/c 29th June to the w/c 27th July inclusive.
