Scratch Course

Scratch is a programming language that lets children create their own interactive stories, animations, games, music and art. For children interested in computer programming and games creation this is a great place to start. As a free resource (and with parental permission of course) you can download Scratch onto your own computer so that children can develop their skills further after the course. For further details visit the Scratch website. Please note that the lesson content can be modified to include different activities if your child has previously completed this course. Recommended for age 7 and up.

I am so impressed by the computer skills that Reid has learned, I wish I had them! Not only that, he has enjoyed everything about the classes and the lovely welcoming environment that you have created.

Joy

It was really cool! Gillian was so nice and helped me find everything I needed for my ‘Bond’ Power Point Presentation even the sounds. Next time I want to do the Touch-typing course.

Ewan

The children are very motivated and enthusiastic about their classes. They are very skilled in ICT and I have to ask them for help with word processing and spreadsheets!!

Laura

Whizzkids is really fun and you learn a lot there. I especially enjoy making my website.

Ben

Gillian is a very kind, helpful person. She has taught me a lot in 4 years. It is one of my favourite clubs and I always enjoy going there on Wednesdays!

Anna

Both our boys have attended Whizzkids and they have found it informative, enjoyable and highly educational, as well as giving them a good foundation in the use of computers.

James

I would highly recommend sending your children to this computer learning centre. My boys love their Whizzkids classes and never want to give them up!
